And the night has wrapped up for the Oscars 2019 mainstage. The announcement of the Best Picture award has been made. The movie that has bagged the trophy at the 91st Academy Awards is Green Book. The movie has been directed by Peter Farrelly. The cast and the crew got emotional as the announcement was made. In order to win the Best Film trophy, XXXX had to defeat names like Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman, The Favourite, Roma, Vice, A Star is Born which were all nominated in the same category. Green Book told the story of a tells the story of an unlikely friendship between an Italian American driver and an African American pianist on a concert tour from New York through the deep south in 1962, one year after the Freedom Riders.

We are so glad that there was no mixup of La La Land and Moonlight this year as well. We know we should not be bringing up the memory, but it is always a relief to know it didn't happen again.

This was quite a historic Oscars, to say the least. There could not have been the #oscarssowhite controversy again, as the Academy took care of inclusion this time around as well. Also, Black Panther created history by becoming the first Marvel Studios' movie to win an Oscar. How cool is that?
