Oscars 2018 Live Streaming: Everything You Need to Know About When and Where to Watch 90th Annual Academy Awards
Guillermo del Toro's The Shape of Water is leading the nominees with 13 nominations, including Best Picture and Best Director.
The biggest and the most reputed awards show is right on the horizon. The 90th Annual Academy Awards ceremony, or Oscars 2018, is about to happen. And like every year, even this edition to has some very interesting movies, actors and technicians to be honoured. Popular TV personality and host Jimmy Kimmel will be hosting this year's edition, after having got a lot of appreciation for his last year's Oscar hosting gig. No doubt, he would be making some jokes on last year's Best Picture blunder when La La Land was mistakenly announced as the winner over Moonlight. And while President Donald Trump was the flavour of the show last year, this year he would definitely share attention with the #MeToo and #TimesUp campaign.
While talking about the Oscars 2018 with the New York Times, ABC entertainment president Channing Dungey (The Academy Awards are aired on this channel) had said, "We certainly want to honor and respect [the] Time’s Up [campaign] and allow that message to be heard. But we’re trying to make it more planned than spur of the moment — it has its moment and then doesn’t feel like it overshadows the artists and films being honored. ... I would love for every award recipient to not feel like they have to acknowledge it independently."
Anyway, political discussion apart, if you are keen to watch Academy Awards this year, here are some important things you need to know about the show.
