It's no April Fool's prank but Fox Studios' method to cultivate a PG-13 image of their foul-mouthed superhero, Deadpool! For the longest time, fans assumed (they still do) that the Once upon a Deadpool is just a random spoof video that Ryan Reynolds is creating to poke fun at the PG-13ness of his character. But turns out the movie is legit happening.

And it stars Fred Savage too! That's right. The Once Upon a Deadpool trailer has released and it has Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool kidnapping Fred Savage. Fox's reason for including Savage n the cast is basically, " a homage to Savage's starring role in the 1987 bedtime-story classic THE PRINCESS BRIDE."

The first trailer of the film shows a dubious 42-year-old Fred Savage taking in what Reynolds as Deadpool has to tell him about him being included in the film. While he insists that he doesn't need Deadpool, the mercenary's instant response is, “You need me to untie you once we’re done.”

Their banter continues as Savage admits that he prefers Marvel movies to which Reynolds adds that the Deadpool pics are Marvel movies. But Savage continues with his savage remarks by stating, “But you’re Marvel licensed by Fox. It’s like if the Beatles were produced by Nickelback. It’s music, but it sucks.” Burn after burn and Reynolds can do nothing! Watch the trailer below.

The description of Once Upon a Deadpool on YouTube is just as or maybe more humorous than the trailer! Savage's statement about being a part of the film says, “while my participation in this film was anything but voluntary, I am happy to learn that Fudge Cancer will be the beneficiary of this shameless cash grab” Film releases on December 12.
