It is so tough to believe that it has been thirteen years since we first saw Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel. The teen comedy show, featuring Miley Cyrus aired its first episode today in 2006. Miley took to her Twitter handle to pay a tribute to the show that propelled her to stardom. We were not even done talking about her post for her ex Nick Jonas which was liked by Priyanka Chopra as well. In her latest tweet, the singer-actress posted a picture from a decade ago, in which she is just a teen girl at the airport leaving to shoot for the show.

"It's the 13th anniversary of the first HM episode to air," Miley wrote in the caption. The pilot episode of Hannah Montana, titled 'Lilly, Do You Want to Know a Secret?' premiered on March 24, 2006.

Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley's father on screen and off screen, also posted a tweet on the 13th anniversary of Hannah Montana:

Also, let us not forget

Miley is now billboard topper singer, with hits like Wrecking Ball and Nothing Breaks Like a Heart to her credit. She is now married to longtime boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, whom she met while shooting for the movie, The Last Song.

On March 2, Miley Cyrus was a special guest on RuPaul's Drag Race. RuPaul while talking about Hannah Montana, asked Miley, "Hey, whatever happened to her?" To which, Miley responded by joking, "A lot of drugs,"

So, feel old yet? Certainly, Miley has come a long way since her Hannah Montana days. She is not the same Miley and she should not be. And maybe it is about time for all the die-hard fans, like yours truly, to finally move forward from the legacy of the show. Times flies.
