Mary Poppins Returns Teaser Trailer: Emily Blunt Arrives from the Skies As Our Favourite Guardian Angel
Mary Poppins Returns is directed by Rob Marshall, while the screenplay is written by David Magee. The movie is scheduled to release in India this December.
When you think of Mary Poppins, the first image that comes to our mind is that of Julie Andrews. The yesteryear actress had played the role of the guardian angel in the 1964 movie, Mary Poppins. The movie was an instant classic and had got a total of 13 Academy Award nominations the next year. It won five, including the Best Actress award for Andrews. Now a sort of sequel/reboot is in the pipeline with the supremely talented Emily Blunt stepping under Poppins' flying umbrella. And like the first movie, here too, she is to help the Banks Family again, only the next generation.
The teaser trailer of the movie is out, and though it doesn't reveal much of the plot, it did show how Poppins return to Earth and back with the Banks. At the end of the trailer, we also get to see a proper glimpse of Blunt and her magic, and she looks so apt in the role.
