More than 10 years ago, in 2008, Hollywood cinema saw the birth of a game-changing revolution with Marvel's Iron Man. Not only did that one superhero film make a then down-on-luck Robert Downey Jr a global superstar, but also reintroduced the less traversed idea of the shared universe. We are in 2019 now, and Iron Man has grown to be a billions-worth Marvel Cinematic Universe, with more than 20 movies, that made its parent company Disney into the riches studio in the world. Captain Marvel New Character Posters REVEALED: Goose the Cat Steals the Spotlight From Brie Larson, Jude Law, Samuel L Jackson and Rightly So! And even as it prepares itself for the advent of its biggest movie event, Avengers: EndGame in April, Marvel has never forgotten its small beginnings. Recently, a trend is going on in social media called the #10yearchallenge, where people post their ten-year-old pictures with their present ones to show their followers how they have changed. Did ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ Trailer Hint at the Return of a Popular Marvel Villain Into the MCU?

Marvel has highjacked the trend to show how their original Avengers have changed over the years. Through their social media handles, they have merged old and new pictures of Tony Stark (Iron Man), Thor, Steve Rogers (Captain America), Natasha Romanov (Black Widow), and Clint Barton (Hawkeye). They have even put up pictures of Nicky Fury and Agent Phil Coulson, though they used their de-aged images from the upcoming Captain Marvel film (which is set in the '90s) for their 'old' pictures. Bruce Banner (The Hulk) is given a miss because the pre-Avengers Banner was played by Edward Norton in The Incredible Hulk, and it would be awkward to merge his picture with that of Mark Ruffalo, who had been playing the character since 2012's The Avengers.

What's more, Marvel even shared the merged picture of how their studio logo has changed in 10 years.

2018 has been an excellent year for Marvel, with two of their movies, Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War making more than $1 billion at the global box office. Infinity War is also the highest grossing superhero movie of all time, after making its entry in the rarely-crossed $2 billion club. This year, we will get Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home from them.
