Marlon Brando famed for playing the role of Vito Corleone in one of the greatest films of all time, The Godfather is currently in the news because of the book, The Contender, The Story of Marlon Brando, written by William J Mann. According to excerpts obtained by DailyMail, The Godfather star was a sex addict and a bisexual. In 2004, Brando died of respiratory failure from pulmonary fibrosis with congestive heart failure, the book published by Harper is based on the late star’s own private archives. The book states Brando confessing that he was obsessed with sex with a statement quoted as, "When I awake in the morning, the first thing I think about is, ‘Who am I going to f*ck today’? even if there was a woman sleeping beside him." It also reveals shocking details such as Brando needed different girlfriends for different days of the week.
Revealing his bisexuality, Brando has said to have given a statement where he said, "Let’s say sex has no sex." Mann's book also suggests Brando and Marilyn Monroe had a romance in 1955 following her divorce from Joe DiMaggio and before her marriage to playwright Arthur Miller. While several women in his life truly loved, he considered marriage to be ‘bourgeois’ states the book.‘It was only in the arms of strong, passionate women that Marlon ever found refuge from his childhood trauma’, writes Mann.
