The makers of James Bond 25 have approached Lupita Nyong'o to play the femme fatale in the upcoming Bond movie. As per a report on Deadline.com, Bond 25 might have multiple Oscar winners with the makers looking to rope in some of the best actors in the industry. So far they have managed to bring back Daniel Craig to reprise the role of James Bond at a whopping cost. And just recently after earning himself an Oscar trophy for Best Actor, Rami Malek has also found himself in the Bond 25 film as the spy's arch nemesis.
Meanwhile, reports are strong that Lupita has been approached to play Bond Girl considering how she is the last pivotal casting in the film. But Deadline.com has also confirmed that she might be turning down the role. They recently put up an update adding that perhaps the Oscar-winning actress might not take up the role as it won't work out with her. Perhaps they are trying to keep things under wraps for now?
While there is still uncertainty over Nyong'o's involvement in Bond 25, the actress is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, Jordan Peele's Us. The film will be releasing by the end of this month. As for Malek, Variety was the first publication to mention the possibility of the actor joining the James Bond 25 cast.
Directed by Cary Fukunaga, the 25th Bond film has seen quite a lot of setback starting from Daniel Craig backing out then finally giving an affirmative answer to directed James Cameron walking out of the project citing creative differences. Let's hope Lupita signs the deal for it would be fun to watch her play Bond girl!
