When Keanu Reeves starred John Wick released, in 2014, we had no idea it was the action film we wanted. The unabashed success of the film has led to two sequels, second of which opens in theatres this Friday. John Wick Chapter 3 - Parabellum begins right where John Wick 2 ends. The fanbase of this franchise is eagerly waiting for the new film, and if the reviews are anything to go by they are in for a treat. After early-press shows, the critics have opined that John Wick Chapter 3 - Parabellum is quite loveable. Halle Berry May Have Broken 3 Ribs During John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum Training But Wears It Like A Badge Of Honour!

Along with praising Keanu's screen-owning performance as a 'tired' John Wick, IGN wrote, "There’s so much running, chasing, punching, shooting, stabbing, and exploding in John Wick: Chapter 3 that it can be just as overwhelming and exhausting as it is thrilling —and the movie knows this," Hellboy Producer Reveals the Reason Behind Casting John Wick Star Ian McShane As the Hero’s Adoptive Father.

Variety praises the movie but adds that it becomes monotonous. "On a level of pure craft, then, “John Wick 3” is unquestionably great action filmmaking – certainly the most technically accomplished of the series thus far, with a good dozen scenes that could only have been pulled off by a director, a stunt team, an editor and a cast working at the absolute highest level. But as masterfully executed as the action is, watching two-plus hours of mayhem without any palpable dramatic stakes, or nuance, or any emotion at all save bloodlust offers undeniably diminishing returns,"

IndieWire called the movie, "giddy, exhausting, and breathtakingly violent," They added, " There are a million ways to die in this movie, all of them executed in the most visceral, “did they really just do that?!” fashion that fans have come to expect."

The Hollywood Reported reviewed, "Since making his debut on the first “John Wick,” Stahelski’s technical ambition and ability has grown substantially each time out, and it’s hard to think of too many filmmakers outside of Asia who are willing to invest the sort of care and detail-work into combat scenes that Stahelski provides over and over again."

Vox wrote, "In Parabellum, as in its predecessors, action scenes are graceful, limber, almost balletic. In this movie, that very nearly becomes literal; in one scene, a ballet performance gets interrupted by intruding assassins, to great visual effect,"

There have been a few jabs at the silly plot of the film by a few critics, but most of the reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Keanu Reeves at the age of 54 delivers an action performance that is loved by critics and audience, and that is the best Hollywood can offer.
