John Krasinski had no chills as Chris Pine announced Emily Blunt as the Best Supporting Actress at the SAG Awards! The actor legit welled up as his wife went up on the stage and accepted the award. At the SAG Awards 2019 that took place last night, Blunt was awarded Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture, for her role in A Quiet Place.
Neither Krasinski nor Blunt expected the award to go to her as she was competing with Rachel Weisz, Emma Stone, Amy Adams and Margot Robbie in the said category. As soon as Chris Pine took Emily's name, John had the tightest and most genuine hug to give to his wife. He even stood up with pride and cheered for her as she went to collect her award.
Shocked but happy with the acclaim, Emily started her speech with, "I'm so moved and completely lost for words and unprepared," and also expressed her love for Krasinski as she continued, "I am going to share this completely with my husband, John Krasinski, because the entire experience of doing this with you has completely pierced my heart directly." As Emily gave her speech, John was left in tears. "You are a stunning filmmaker," she continued. "I'm so lucky to be with you and to have done this film with you. Thank you for giving me the part. You would have been in major trouble if you hadn't."
For those who are unaware of this fact, the film A Quiet Place has been written and directed by John Krasinski, who also starred in the movie, alongside Emily Blunt. This is the first time the couple came together for a feature film. Their romance is no surprise to the world. They've been the epitome of couple goals. A Quiet Place previously won Best Sci-Fi/Horror Movie at the 2019 Critics' Choice Awards.
