Jason Momoa's Aquaman has created a new record and that has just put the DC Comics' standalone superhero film at the top spot! In the next few weeks, the film will be completing its screening in the overseas market. And just before that, Aquaman has done something remarkable.
At the domestic box office, Aquaman will be completing the run with about $335 million, the second highest collection grossed by any DCEU release, just behind Wonder Woman that amassed $412.5 million! Overseas though, the film has roughly collected $807 million, bringing the international total to about $1.142 billion! With this, not only has the film grossed more than The Dark Knight Rises but also beat Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man 3 collection at the overseas market.

While Aquaman collected $807 million at the overseas box office, Iron Man 3 at the time of the release in 2013, grossed approximately $805 million. Earlier this year, Aquaman managed to surpass the lifetime box office collection of The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises to become Warner Bros' highest grossing superhero film of all time. The film starring Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Willem Dafoe, Yahya Abdul Mateen II to name a few.
Aquaman's box office has seen a continuous upward scale with respect to the domestic and international box office. Considering the success of the film, the makers have even announced a sequel to the film. Although director James Wan has not volunteered to direct the sequel yet, depending on the script, he will make his decision.
