The story of The Little Things revolves around a burned-out Kern County deputy sheriff, Deke, played by Washington, who teams up with a crack LASD detective, Rami Malek, to bring in a wily serial killer, hopefully, played by Jared Leto. Deke has a knack to shirk out the little things that prove to be creepily accurate and necessary to the case. However, his willingness and finicky approach to stick to the roles makes Baxter go through a soul-shattering dilemma. Deke, on the other hand, also deals with the dark secrets of his past.

Warner Bros has been in good terms with Jared Leto, who appeared in a string of their films ranging from Black Runner 2049 and Suicide Squad. Much recently, the actor wrapped the shooting of Sony's Morbius which is based on a Marvel comic book character going by the same name.
