James Bond 25: Rami Malek Confirmed as New Villain, Daniel Craig to Play 007 for the Fifth Time - More Deets Inside

Details of the 25th James Bond film and actor Daniel Craig's last in the 007 franchise were released live from t Ian Fleming’s villa in Jamaica. Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson, as well as new director Cary Fukunaga, spoke to radio presenter Clara Amfo about the upcoming film. They confirmed casting details announcing the return of actors Ralph Fiennes (who took over from Judi Dench as M after 2012’s Skyfall), Naomie Harris (as Moneypenny), Jeffrey Wright (Felix Leiter), Rory Kinnear (as Bill Tanner) and Ben Whishaw (as Q) will return, alongside Léa Seydoux,the psychologist Madeleine Swann from 2015’s Spectre. Also new on board for the 25th Bond film are actors Ana de Armas, Lashana Lynch, Dali Benssalah and Billy Magnussen. The film will be shot across the locations of Jamaica, Norway, London, and Italy.

Director Fukunaga, who has previously directed HBO’s True Detective series, is the first American director in the series’ history. The last film in the Bond series was directed by Sam Mendes

In 2017, Daniel Craig had revealed on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert that his fifth outing as James Bond would be his last. After Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, and Pierce Brosnan, Craig is the seventh actor to have essayed the role of the British spy. The film is yet to get a title but will be hitting the screens in April 2020.
