Director David Leitch recently spoke about the future of Deadpool and seemed to be equally clueless about the third instalment of the film. The director speaking to Deadline mentioned, "I know Marvel announced their slate and I think people were like, 'Deadpool’s not on it'. I would never say never. And I think, obviously, he’s such a beloved character and it’s such a compelling world people want to go back. And I think they will find a way to do it. But I’m just being patient and let everybody take a breath and see how it works for them in the new Marvel, Disney world. And, hopefully, I’ll get the call. And that would be cool."
Although, Deadpool creator D, on the other hand, has been positive about Deadpool 3 and during several of his interactions on Twitter with fans confirmed that it will happen.
Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds too had seemed positive about another film in the franchise when he spoke to Entertainment Tonight before. The actor was quoted saying, "I wouldn't imagine that Disney bought Fox to dismantle it or something like that. I think that Disney bought Fox so it could have that in its arsenal."
As of now, the future of Deadpool is still shrouded in mystery and we hope that Disney soon takes a call on the film's third instalment. Fans have loved Reynold's superhero act and going by their Twitter reactions, they would love to have another film in the franchise.
