Who doesn't like a good laugh? And when it comes to choosing a movie to pass time, who doesn't love to go for a good, fun one? It can range from a classic one like Dr Strangelove to an eternally iconic one like Ghostbusters or guilty pleasure ones like the American Pie series. Good comedies are really hard to make, because, as they say, funny business is a serious business. Funny WhatsApp Forwards For International Joke Day 2019: Laugh Out Loud And Share These Hilarious Jokes To Celebrate The Day.

On July 1, the world celebrates International Jokes Day, and on the occasion, we recommend you five movies that filled with some terrific one-liners that you should binge-watch on this day. Let's start off with something closer to home:

Andaz Apna Apna

Akela: "Sholay picture dekhi hai?"

Amar (pointing towards Prem): "Haan, iski baap ne likhi hai."

For those who are not quite well-versed with Bollywood, this joke might go over their heads. But those who do, might realise that Sholay was co-written by Salim Khan (along with Javed Akhtar), who is Salman Khan's real-life dad. And Salman is Prem in the movie! Andaz Apna Apna is filled with such rib-tickling jokes, some of them going meta, and is guaranteed to make you laugh your guts out from the start to the end! Too bad, that it didn't work at the box office at the time of its release, but went on to become a cult hit with the Bollywood fans.

Airplane!

Airhostess: "There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you enjoy the rest of your flight... By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?"

No spoof can be as brilliant and funny as this (though the next entry comes close). Airplane!, a movie about how a flight journey for all the passengers goes wrong thanks to a bout of food poisoning, is filled with ridiculous and risque jokes that will reel you in with its absurdity. This movie is also reportedly responsible for showing the world the comedic chops of the late Leslie Nielsen, who began his own franchise of spoof movies in The Naked Gun.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail

King Arthur: "This new learning amazes me, Sir Bedevere. Explain again how sheep's bladders may be employed to prevent earthquakes."

Monty Python movies are often funny (and controversial), and The Holy Grail is the best of the lot. It is difficult to understand the movie's setting, considering it set in both present and past times, and we are deliberately confused about if the whole medieval thing is just a shoot. While that confusion is definitely infuriating (especially how the movie ends), Monty Python and the Holy Grail is filled with absurdly funny scenes that are now legendary in pop culture. Just see the duel between King Arthur and the Black Knight, and you will know what I mean.

Zoolander

Zoolander (2001)
Directed by Ben Stiller
Shown: Owen Wilson (as Hansel McDonald/Leonard Mortimer Weitzman), Ben Stiller (as Derek Zoolander)

Derek Zoolander: "I'm sorry that good-looking people like us made you throw up and feel bad about yourself."

Ignore that stupid sequel, but the first Zoolander film is goddamn funny. Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, in the prime of their comedic career, bring the house down as two warring male models forced to work together to brings down a common for. Stiller, especially as the titular moronic Zoolander, has some of the funniest lines and scenes, with the combustion scene being the highlight.

Mean Girls

Regina: "I gave him everything! I was half a virgin when I met him."

Tina Fey ("30 Rock") is a legend, and her directorial, Mean Girls, is filled with memorable characters, quirky performances and unforgettable quirks. Rachel McAdams as the mean queen Reginal Hall takes away with some of the best lines, most of them being classic burns. Not just Regina, even the minor characters sometimes end up stealing a scene with their quips or antics.
