Indian Film ‘Kill’ To Get English-Language Remake; ‘John Wick’ Director Chad Stahelski To Produce Lakshya-Nikhil Nagesh Bhat’s Action Thriller

Chad Stahelski, the director of ‘John Wick’, is teaming up with Lionsgate to produce an English-language remake of the Indian action thriller ‘Kill’, originally directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat and set for release in India on July 5.

The Indian action thriller Kill, directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment, is set for an English-language remake. Starring Lakshya, Raghav Juyal and Tanya Maniktala in lead roles, the original film has garnered significant attention. Chad Stahelski, renowned for directing tJohn Wick, and his production company 87Eleven Entertainment will produce the English remake for Lionsgate, according to Variety. Scheduled for its grand theatrical release in India on July 5, Kill has already made headlines with the announcement of its Hollywood adaptation. As per the report, In October 2023, Lionsgate got the rights to release the film in North America and the UK. This is one of the first times a Hollywood studio has directly acquired a Hindi-language movie for US theaters. Speaking to Variety about the project, Chad Stahelski expressed his enthusiasm: “Kill is one of the most vivid, wild, and creative action movies I’ve seen recently. Nikhil delivers relentless action sequences that need to be seen by as wide an audience as possible.
