Disney is on a roll this year. Three of their movies have already crossed the $1 billion mark at the box office this year, making the studio the most profitable movie company of 2018. First, it was Black Panther, the Chadwick Boseman-starrer Marvel superhero movie, that turned out to be a surprisingly huge hit, and a big cultural influence. Then to no one's surprise, Avengers: Infinity War topped the business of Black Panther with an incredible box office performance, making it the highest grossing movie of the year, as well as the fourth highest-grossing film of all time. Now Incredibles 2 joins the elite club.

The sequel to the 2004 animation movie by Brad Bird, Incredibles 2 did some incredible business across the world. A product of the Disney-Pixar collaboration, the animation superhero sequel won the critics as well as the audiences. The movie becomes the 36th film to cross the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office.

In North America itself, Incredibles 2 collected $574 million, while its total earnings globally amount to $1.005 billion. In India, the movie had grossed Rs 36.90 crore (only the English version).

Incredibles 2 is about a superhero family, with each member having different superpowers, tackling new threats to the world, while dealing with their own domestic problems. Kajol had voiced Elastigirl in the Hindi dubbed version of the movie.

Apart from Black Panther, Infinity War and Incredibles 2, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom had also crossed the $1 billion mark earlier this year.
