The new trailer of Shia LaBeouf's meta-biographical film, Honey Boy is here and it shows an excellent look at the actor's life as a child actor. LaBeouf who has also written the screenplay of the film, shares his own experiences, of a young actor’s stormy childhood and early adult years. The trailer starts in 2005 with Lucas Hedges, LaBeouf's stand-in, named as Otis Lort, shouting "wait, wait!" before getting blown back on a movie set. The trailer has references to LaBeouf's iconic movies such as Holes and Transformers. There's a moving scene in the trailer where we see LaBeouf who plays the father saying, “How do you think it feels to have my son paying me?" and the kid responds saying, “You wouldn’t be here if I didn’t pay you."

The film stars Noah Jupe and Lucas Hedges in lead roles along with LaBeouf himself. Dancer-singer FKA twigs also makes her debut with Honey Boy. The film has already impressed critics after its premiere at Sundance festival this year. It also won the U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Prize for Vision and Craft at the Film Festival.
The film is produced by Har’el, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Daniela Taplin Lundberg, Anita Gou and Christopher Leggett. Honey Boy is produced by Automatik and Delirio, in association with Stay Gold Features, Kindred Spirit and Red Crown Productions. The film is slated to release on November 8.
