Henry Cavill Once Auditioned to Play James Bond But Got Rejected for Being 'Too Chubby'
Imagine a director coming up to you and calling you chubby? Henry Cavill was rejected to play James Bond but he then went ahead to bag DC's iconic superhero character, Superman.
Henry Cavill should thank his stars for not helping him bag the James Bond role. The British actor then went on to become the Superman for Warner Bros - a portrayal that will be cherished and remembered forever. However, the actor was visibly upset after his James Bond auditions went for a toss but he also has to thank the same incident for making his superhero adventure possible. In his recent interview with Men’s Health, Cavill revealed how director Martin Campell found him too chubby for 007 role and he later decided to work hard on the same criticisms. “I probably could have prepared better. I remember the director, Martin Campbell, saying, ‘Looking a little chubby there, Henry.’ I didn’t know how to train or diet. And I’m glad Martin said something because I respond well to the truth. It helps me get better," he said while recalling the verdict of his James Bond audition. Henry has a huge physique, probably that's the reason why he was selected to play Superman in the end but calling him chubby, is... a bit too much, don't you think?
