In an attempt to showcase what to expect from HBO in the coming year, the broadcast giant released a sneak peek video. The video has enough content at display starting from Big Little Lies, True Detective and Veep as some of the sneak peek that stood out. Among them was an ample amount of video footage from George RR Martin's phenomenal series, Game of Thrones' eighth season. While it didn't reveal much of what will happen in the season finale of Game of Thrones. But it surely did spread out enough hints for diehard fans to speculate what to expect.

Oh sure, soon there will be fan theories all over social media, talking about what might happen in the season finale, who really is the Night King, whether the Lannisters and Targaryen's forces will conquer the big war and more. Jon Snow will be returning to Winterfell where sister Sansa Stark is holding the throne. Quick glances from the sneak peek also showed a combat take place between Jamie Lannister and Robert Baratheon's bastard son Gendry. The sneak peek also had Daenerys Targaryen let the dragon loose as she said her patent catchphrase, 'dracaris'.

While the story calls out to all the Game of Thrones fans, some who watch other HBO shows like Big Little Lies, Veep, True Detective, The Deuce and more, will also enjoy watching their sneak peeks. Check it out below.

Unlike how Game of Thrones usually releases their shows every summer, the finale will be delayed, if reports are to be believed. The makers are extremely guarded since the big leak scandal of season seven. While HBO hasn't released an official statement commenting on the finale's debut, HBO's programming chief, Casey Bloys, has affirmed that the series would mostly debut in the first half of 2019. Let's hope they manage to get the series out in the first half. As it is we have waited with bated breath for one whole year since GoT season 7.
