Jesse Eisenberg is celebrating his 35th birthday today. While many recognise him as Lex Luthor, the villain from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, there is a lot more that you should learn about him. Not just acting but Eisenberg is also invested in playwriting and is an author. His debut into the acting world was in the short-lived comedy series, Get Real on TV. Post the TV stint, Eisenberg did a few other movies but it was only after comedy-drama film Adventureland and horror-comedy Zombieland that he found prominence. Eisenberg's performance as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in David Fincher's film, The Social Network, only added more feathers to his hat. He received several nominations for his work including BAFTA, Golden Globe and Academy Award for Best Actor. Now a lot of fans know him famously for some of his not-so-amazing films. The Social Network
It is almost impossible to not mention The Social Network when talking about Jesse Eisenberg's best films. The 2010 American drama directed by venerated director David Fincher is the origin story of Facebook. Eisenberg played the role of founder Mark Zuckerberg in this movie while Andrew Garfield portrayed the role of Eduardo Saverin and Justin Timberlake as Sean Parker.
Zombieland
Zombieland was actually his claim to fame. The horror-comedy which also stars Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin getting through the world in a post-zombie apocalypse. The movie also had Bill Murray make a cameo.
Adventureland
Adventureland is not your cliche teen chick flick. As you watch this movie starring Eisenberg plays James Brennan, the story becomes super interesting. The film also stars Kristen Stewart, Ryan Reynolds and Bill Hader in pivotal roles.
The Squid and the Whale
The story of The Squid and the Whale is about the Berkman family who appears to be an ideal one but deals with tremendous conflict within. The film is intelligent, funny, painful and super engaging! The eccentricities of each and every character are so amazing that you'll fall in love with the movie.
Now You See Me
Now You See Me did see commercial success and recognition. Every character in the movie, all the suspense created by the plot and characters culminated to a fancy ending.
