As a child you might have come across the series of books, called Goosebumps, containing ghost stories that aim at readers of a younger age. Written by RL Stine, the books were a huge hit. In 2015, the books got a movie adaptation, called Goosebumps, that had Jack Black play RL Stine himself, who has hidden all the monsters that he created in his own books. That is, until Dylan Minnette, the neighbour enamoured with his daughter, gets into his house and opens a book accidentally, to end up creating chaos. The first movie was a decent hit that had the potential for a sequel.

Now that sequel is about to arrive with a new name, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, which as you guess, is set in Halloween. However, none of the protagonists, including RL Stine, are returning for the sequel. Instead, this time, the job of unlocking monsters and later fighting them back to suppression lands on the slender shoulders of three kids.  Jeremy Ray Taylor (or that chubby kid from IT) , Madison Iseman and Caleel Harris play the leads. Though Jack Black won't return as RL Stine (unless there is a  surprise cameo), he is voicing Slappy the mischievous, evil ventriloquist puppet again.
