In a report by Ladbible, film's co-writer, Jeff Pinkner has confirmed the sequel to Tom Hardy's Venom without divulging any more details about it. He said, "I can't say anything other than that it's happening." The report further hints at Spider-Man making an appearance in the Venom sequel. Since originally the character was introduced in the Spider-Man series, there are high chances that this superhero might make an appearance in Venom 2. However, Jeff refused to react to the possibility. He simply said, "Without revealing anything that I am not supposed to reveal, it is not impossible a future I think it's fair to say that everyone involved would be very excited by a Spider-Man/Venom movie." We now wait to see if the sequel will further focus on Riot's character played by Riz Ahmed or will explore other avenues.
