Jason Momoa's grizzly gorgeous beard will return along with Aquaman 2! Just recently, the Aquaman actor stunned the world by shaving off his gorgeous facial hair for an environmental cause. But turns out the facial hair would return along with Aquaman 2 as the actor plans to continue channelling his god-like beard.
As Momoa appeared on The Ellen Show, he explained why he loves the Aquaman franchise a lot. Further delving into details of the sequel, the actor confirmed that he will return with his beard. He told Ellen, "I was really, really, really, passionate, to do the second one because it's the first time where it's all on Earth. It's combining land and sea, kind of like what I'm doing with this [environmental cause]. There's no outside aliens destroying Earth, it's us. And so I was excited to get back in there, and so I've been working with our previous writer, and getting in there, and we've got a locked story, and we're getting into it."

Further adding about his beard, Momoa quoted, "And I think it's going to be like in two years or whatever. The beard will be back by then." Best news to hear before starting a new day, we'd say! In an interview with Syfy Wire, the actor had stated that he does plan to bring more ideas on the table for Aquaman 2. “I definitely have an opinion. Even when we were shooting Aquaman, I have the opening of Aquaman 2 ready. I went in and pitched it to [producer Peter] Safran, and I pitched it to [Warner Bros. chairman] Toby Emmerich. They loved it. It’s awesome...But yeah, I have plans for Aquaman 2.”

So far the makers have kept everything about the film under wraps. Obviously, considering how the standalone prequel got such a massive response from fans, the makers would like to go all out and make Aquaman the rising star superhero of DC Comics! The film is slated for a December 2022 release.
