Glass director M. Night Shyamalan just revealed that there have been "light conversations" about him getting on board for a Marvel or DC movie! Obviously, there is a condition based on which he will take the project. After having delivered another hit in the making by bringing together fine actors such as Samuel L Jackson, James McAvoy and Bruce Willis, Shyamalan is ready to bring forth more uniqueness to Marvel and DC.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Shyamalan was asked if he would ever consider teaming up with Marvel or DC. To this, the director stated, “I mean, you never know, you never know,” Shyamalan told EW. “There’s been light conversations in the past about these things. But it would have to be in a way that would allow for very weird, big weirdness to be okay. I mean, you never know, you never know,” and added, “There have been light conversations in the past about these things. But it would have to be in a way that would allow for very weird, big weirdness to be okay.”
Speaking of how weird the Marvel films' takes have been in the past few films such as Thor: Ragnarok and the Guardians of the Galaxy, Shyamalan was also in agreement with the same. He said, “Yeah, absolutely.” He also added, “I think [things] are changing. Finding a fresh take on the comic book genre is a very powerful approach now to these movies, and I think one what everybody is looking for.” This is all thanks to the universe Shyamalan created with the Unbreakable, Split and Glass trilogy. Now wouldn't that be a fun watch? Well, we sure think so considering how his previous films have been.
Having finished the story of David Dunn and Elijah Price, when Shyamalan was asked if he was done with his superhero flicks post Glass, the filmmaker stated that he does not plan to make any more sequels to the film. “Yeah, I would say so,” Shyamalan said. “I have a lot of original stories I want to tell. I’m an original filmmaker and I want to keep on telling new stories and new characters. It’s fun for me to figure out a new language, and then learn it, and try to get an audience in two hours to learn, and accept it, and really find their way.”
