Game of Thrones has managed to impress the Emmys once again this year, as it goes on to win two awards - one for Best Drama series and the other for the Best Actor in A Supporting Role (Peter Dinklage) at the award ceremony's 70th edition. However, while the wins will be celebrated, GoT fans are still seething over the fact that they will not be able to see the last season this year. Instead, they have to wait for next year's fall to see how the much-loved and followed show will end. After the conclusion of Emmys, the Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss were asked about why it is taking so long for the final season to arrive. To which, Weiss replied, "Because it's the biggest thing we have ever done. Even though it's six episodes, it took us a full year of either prepping it or shooting it. It's quite extraordinary what this crew and cast have created. When people see it, they are going to understand why it took so long. Nobody has gone on vacation. The last season is far beyond of what all we have attempted before. When asked why the show is so popular, they had an interesting response. They replied, " Westeros doesn't belong to anybody. Nobody has a history of family in Westeros. Nobody is personally connected to it, and that means that everybody can be equally connected to it"
