Some upcoming films have already left us intrigued by dropping the trailer of DC's Birds of Prey and Wonder Woman 1984, Marvel's Black Widow, Tom Cruise's Top Gun: Maverick and Christopher Nolan's Tenet. Birds of Prey
Birds of Prey brings Margot Robbie in the titular role of Harley Quinn (Joker's girlfriend). It is the eighth film in the DC Extended Universe and a spin-off film to the 2016 film Suicide Squad. Helmed by Cathy Yan, Birds of Prey also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Rosie Perez, Ewan McGregor and Chris Messina in major roles. The film is slated for February 7 release date in the US.
A Quiet Place: Part II
A Quiet Place: Part II is a sequel to John Krasinski's 2018 acclaimed horror hit A Quiet Place. The film brings back Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe reprising their roles from the first film. The Sequel follows Abbott family's quest for survival from the mysterious creature that haunts them in the first part. The film is all set to hit theatres on March 20.
Mulan
Walt Disney's Mulan has impressed everyone with its official teaser as it perfectly brings the famous Chinese folklore “The Ballad of Mulan to the big screen. The film is an adaptation of the 1998 animated movie of the same name. Liu Yifei plays the titular role of Hua Mulan who takes place of her ailing father to serve the imperial Chinese army. The film also stars IP Man fame Donnie Yen, Jason Scott Lee, Jet Li and Jimmy Wong among others in supporting roles. Mulan is all set to release in the US on March 27
No Time to Die
Cary Joji Fukunaga directed No Time To Die is 25th Bond Film in James Bond film series. The film stars Daniel Craig reprising the role of MI6 agent James Bond as the film's protagonist. It also has Rami Malek as the antagonist with Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Jeffrey Wright, Léa Seydoux, and Christoph Waltz reprising their roles from previous Bond films. No Time To Die also stars Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge in major roles and is slated for April 2 release in the UK and April 8 release in the US.
Black Widow
Black Widow is a stand-alone superhero film starring Scarlett Johansson in the lead role of Natasha Romanoff and the Avengers Endgame star has excited Marvel movie buffs across the world. Helmed by Cate Shortland, this Marvel Studios-Walt Disney production film follows the events in between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers Endgame. The film also stars Stranger Things fame David Harbour, Florence Pugh and Rachel Weisz in major roles.
Black Widow trailer has already impressed Marvel fans in particular and rumour hints that Robert Downey Jr is all set to play Iron Man once again with his special appearance. Interestingly, Black Widow releases in India on April 30 prior to the United States release date of May 1.
Scoob!
Space Jam and Duck Dodgers fame Tony Cervone bring an animated movie out of Cartoon Network's most cherished show Scooby-Doo. The trailer has gained positive response from the viewers and it majorly revolves around the friendship of Shaggy and Scooby and how their friendship began. Speaking about the voice cast, Frank Welker is Scooby-Doo, Will Forte is Shaggy Rogers, Zac Efron is Fred Jone, Gina Rodriguez as Velma Dinkle, and Amanda Seyfried as Daphne Blake. Scoob! heads for a May 15 release in the US.
Fast & Furious 9
Helmed by Justin Lin, Fast & Furious 9 is is a sequel to 2017's The Fate of the Furious. It is the ninth instalment in the Fast & Furious franchise. The film stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel and Charlize Theron who reprises the roles from the previous Fast and Furious films. While John Cena, Finn Cole, Anna Sawai, Vinnie Bennett, Michael Rooker, Ozuna and Cardi B are the new addition to the cast. Fast & Furious 9 gears for May 22 release in the United States.
Wonder Woman 1984
Gal Gadot reprises the role of Wonder Woman aka Diana Prince in the ninth DCEU film Wonder Woman 1984 which is a straight sequel to the 2017 movie Wonder Woman. The trailer has left DC fans in awe and they can't wait to witness one of their favourite superheroes on the big screen once again after Justice League(2017). Patty Jenkins directed film also brings back Chris Pine who reprises the role of Steve Trevor (Wonder Woman's love interest). Top Gun: Maverick
Tom Cruise upcoming military drama Top Gun: Maverick is a sequel to the 1986 film Top Gun. Helmed by Joseph Kosinski, the film also stars Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman and Ed Harris in pivotal roles. On the other hand, Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer are reprising their roles from the first film. Excited to see Captain Pete Maverick return after 30 years?? You gotta be! Top Gun: Maverick is all set for a theatrical release in the United States on June 26.
Minions: The Rise of Gru
Minions: The Rise of Gru is an animated comedy movie which is a straight sequel to the 2015 film, Minions. It is a spin-off to the Despicable Me film series and Kyle Balda takes the director's seat once again with Brad Ableson's co-direction. Minions: The Rise of Gru is slated for to July 3 release in the United States. The film would revolve around Minions first ever interaction with a young Gru. Tenet
After a visual spectacle war drama Dunkirk (2017) Christopher Nolan is back again with Tenet and the trailer is tempting all the thriller fans to watch in on the big IMAX screen already. What's exciting about the Indian audiences is the trailer showcased the backdrop of Mumbai, India and some part of the film was shot in the city of dreams.
Well, the trailer of Christopher Nolan film has intrigued us in the first place and its basic premise revolves around a secret agent who is on a mission to avoid nuclear holocaust that will prevent World War 3. Tenet stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Michael Caine, and Kenneth Branagh. It is scheduled for a worldwide July 17 release.
Daniel Espinosa directed Morbius is a film based on the Marvel Comic Book character of the same name. The film is inspired from Spider-Man comic characters just like Venom being the first of it released in 2018. Morbius is an anti-hero character and follows the rise of this villain who is a scientist facing rare blood disease experiments to cure himself and gets affected to be a kind of vampire-like villain. Jared Leto is roped in to play this titular role of Dr Michael Morbius. It also stars alongside Adria Arjona, Matt Smith, Jared Harris, and Tyrese Gibson as the film's core cast. Morbius is releasing on July 31 in the US.
Keanu Reeves' is all to treat to his fans with John Wick 4 and Matrix 4 releasing on May 21, 2021. In 2020, Reeves stars in one of the most beloved sci-fi comedy franchise's new film Bill & Ted Face the Music. Venom 2
Earlier in the mid-year Sony Pictures announced Venom 2 to be directed by Andy Serkis which will bring back Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, Venom’s human host. The film also stars Woody Harrelson, Reid Scott, Naomie Harris, and Michelle Williams as supporting cast. The film also stars Stephen Graham in a major role. Venom 2 is scheduled for release in the United States on October 2, 2020. Speculations are at rife that Sony-MCU would next bring forward a Spider-man, Venom cross over which would be one hell of a film.
The Eternals
MCU's 25th Film The Eternals made headlines with the stellar star cast announced by the makers. Based on a Marvel comics of the same name its story revolves around the Eternals, an immortal alien race created by the Celestials, protect humanity from their evil counterparts the Deviants. The film's ensemble cast includes Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, Don Lee, Barry Keoghan, Gemma Chan and Kit Harington. Marvel's The Eternals is slated for a theatrical release in the US on November 6.
