If you know your trivia, you will be aware of the fact that it was the American astronaut Neil Armstrong who became the first man to walk on the moon. To honour his life, Academy Award-winning director Damien Chazelle is making a movie on his life, called First Man. The movie is based on the book, First Man: The Life of Neil A. Armstrong, which is the official biography of Armstrong. Ryan Gosling is playing the lead in First Man, making this his second collaboration with Chazelle after the acclaimed La La Land.

The first trailer of First Man is out, and it shows a movie that is visually impressive and some superlative performances. The movie hails Armstrong's milestone as the most dangerous mission by man. Ryan Gosling looks really good as the astronaut, can this be the movie that finally gives Gosling that Oscar he so deserves? Claire Foy (The Crown) also looks quite formidable as Armstrong's first wife, Janet Shearon. Here's the trailer -

Unlike Damien Chazelle's previous movies, be it Whiplash or La La Land, First Man doesn't give priority to music. The movie also stars Corey Stoll (who plays Buzz Aldrin, the man who walked on the Moon second), Kyle Chandler, Jason Clarke, Shea Whigham and Brian d'Arcy James. First Man is scheduled to release on October 12.
