Warner Bros just debuted a new and exciting trailer for the third entry in the Fantastic Beasts franchise, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. The story here seems to follow Dumbledore and Newt gathering a group of ragtag individuals to join them in their conquest to stop Grindelwald. Talking about Grindelwald, he himself seems to be developing an army to start his war against the muggles alongside Dumbledore’s long lost brother, Credence.

The Secrets of Dumbledore was a huge topic of discussion last year when they ended up replacing Johnny Depp for Mads Mikkelsen in the role of Grindelwald. The film itself has had quite the rough ride getting here, but it was really great seeing this trailer that promised more of that magic action that we expect from these films. So let’s take a look at everything we learned from the trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore Trailer – Jude Law, Mads Mikkelsen’s Fantasy Adventure Is a Roller Coaster Ride of Magic.

Watch The Trailer Below:

The Past

We see Albus Dumbledore talk about the past whispering back, this is definitely him referencing Credence. Credence was revealed to be Albus’ long lost brother, Aurelius Dumbledore at the end of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

A New Group

Albus seems to be making a group to stop Grindelwald’s carnage. Like has been the theme with these films, we get a new group here too that will be led by Eddie Redmayne’s Newt Scamander. Joining him will be Jacob as well. We also see a younger version of Albus’ other brother, Aberforth, although the extent of his role in the film is unknown.

Jacob Receives a Wand

In what was the biggest surprise of the trailer, it looks like Jacob will be getting in on the action as well. Newt gives him a wand which definitely sets up the fact that we will see Jacob using magic too.

Grindelwald’s War

Grindelwald is also getting ready for a war against the muggles. In a plotline that was set up in the previous film, Grindelwald seems to be finally moving forward with his plan to destroy the muggle world. Over here we also get our first look at Mads Mikkelsen in action as the character. Entertainment News | 'Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore' Teaser Gives First Glimpse of Mads Mikkelsen as Grindelwald.

A Reunion

After Queenie at the end of the second film joins the ranks of Grindelwald, we see her leave behind Jacob and Tina. In the trailer there is a brief moment where we see Jacob and Queenie embrace each other. This may be hinting at the fact that we may see Queenie leave Grindelwald’s army.

New Beasts

We also get to see some new fantastic beasts in the trailer (pun totally intended). One of the new monsters bears a very similar resemblance to crabs while there is another huge beast with a tail that has a sting attached to it.

Dumbledore vs Dumbledore

The final few seconds of the trailer teases Albus vs Aurelius Dumbledore. The fight seems visually exciting with Jude Law and Ezra Miller giving it their all. This is a scene that looks like it takes place during the third act of the film.

Overall this was a really exciting trailer. After the lackluster The Crimes of Grindelwald, The Secrets of Dumbledore is shaping up to be a much better film. It looks visually exciting and also has an aura of fun to it. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore releases on April 8, 2022.
