Marvel Studios have announced the Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe at the San Diego Comic-Con. It includes the extremely-needed and much-wanted Thor 4, which has been titled Thor: Love and Thunder. Taika Watiti, who directed the quirky Ragnarok, returns to the chair. While it was obvious that Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson will return to reprise their roles as Thor and Valkyrie, what comes as a pleasant surprise is the re-addition of Natalie Portman to the cast. After having a tiny fallout with Marvel, she is back. The actress won't just be playing Jane Foster, scientist and Thor's ex-girlfriend, but will get the opportunity to wield the Mjolnir as female Thor. The makers are adapting the Goddess of Thunder storyline which recently became extremely popular in the original comics. Marvel Phase 4 Films Revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2019! "That storyline is incredible is full emotion, love and thunder and introduces for the first time female Thor," said Waititi. “I’ve always had a little hammer envy,” Natalie said, while holding a prop Mjolnir in her hands, looking insanely cool. There are a few who did not take the news well
A female Thor? Is Hollywood making EVERYTHING female nowadays?

And here are a few who are just against Natalie
At first I was all, "Oh cool, a female Thor." Then I seen it was Portman and I like her and I know Jane became Thor in the comics, but we could have skipped this incarnation of Thor tbh. Nothing against her, she just never really....fit(?) In this role.

The reactions to Jane Foster being the new Goddess of Thunder is getting mostly positive reactions from what we can see. There are a few stray tweets about apprehensions regarding the same news. But we are sure everyone will come around. In Taika, we have faith.
Natalie appeared for a voice cameo in Avengers: Endgame. Her last proper appearance in the MCU was with Thor: The Dark World. It is evident that Thor and Jane’s romance will be re-ignited. We can’t be happier. Actually, we can be. When, Thor: Love and Thunder releases in theatres on November 5, 2021.
