Brad Pitt starrer Formula 1 based film F1 will be released internationally next year. The film is being produced under the banner of Apple Original Films and also features Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton as one of the executive producers. The world of Formula 1 has been abuzz ever since the announcement of the project. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the makers of the film dropped the highly anticipated first trailer for the film on July 7. What Is the ‘F1’ Film About?

The plot of F1 follows the fictional story featuring Brad Pitt's character, Sonny Hayes, making his comeback to Formula 1 after spending some time away. Hayes is joined by a rookie driver, Joshua Pierce (Damson Idris), at the fictional team APX GP with the aim of maintaining the young driver. Hayes' career in the F1 was ruined after a nasty crash in the 1990s; however, he made a comeback after the owner of APX GP invited him back to the circuit.  FYI, Pitt's fictional APX GP team is one among the 11 teams on the grid. Although the film's plot remains largely undisclosed, more details are anticipated in the upcoming trailers.

Who Stars in the Film?

Hollywood icon Brad Pitt headlines the cast lineup alongside Damson Idris. Javier Bardem portrays the role of APX GP's team owner. The F1 cast also includes Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia and Samson Kayo, among others.
