The 2019 Emmys was quite a starry night with who's who from the Hollywood industry making their presence felt. Right from Billy Porter creating history to Game of Thrones snatching the limelight with the number of awards won, the gala event was quite a spectacular one. Also on the style front, many celebrities sashayed down the purple carpet in their simplistic and extravagant best. However, going by a few reports surfacing on the web, it is said that Emmys this year delivered an all-time low in the ratings. Yup, you read that right. Emmys 2019: Billy Porter Creates History, Becomes First Openly Gay, Black Man to Win Best Actor in Drama for 'Pose'.

Talking about the winners from the night, it was GOT with a terrific win as the team took home 12 trophies, followed by HBO’s Chernobyl with 10 trophies and finally Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel with eight. But well, the highlight of the night was surely Michelle Williams' moving speech in her maiden Emmys win which was all about equal pay for women in the entertainment industry. Williams won the Emmy Award for outstanding lead actress in a limited TV series or movie for Fosse/Verdon.
