Fans are still in an uproar about the whole Taylor Swift-Justin Bieber showdown that took place on the internet last week. With each passing day, a new layer is added to the conversation. Joining in is Taylor's friend, Ed Sheeran. The "Shape of You" singer was facing flak from Swities for not speaking up on the matter at hand. Well, he has spoken. But as per him, he has spoken more to Taylor directly. Tumblr, Twitter and Instagram were full of comments from angry fans who were criticising the music industry folks for not speaking up. So far, only Cara Delvigne, Camilla Cabello and a handful of others have shown the guts to butt in on the topic publicly. Taylor Swift Fans Lash out at Sia After She Shows Support for Scooter Braun.

The short version of the controversy is that Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun now owns all of Taylor's past music after buying a record label. Long story here. Now, since Taylor was instrumental in discovering Ed Sheeran and his music and giving him a platform, fans were obviously expecting him to chime in. But, he has been silent. Angry fans bombarded Ed's Instagram with criticism and asking for an explanation.

When Ed had had enough of these comments, he took note of one and replied, "I've been speaking directly to her, like I always do,"

Is that enough? Well, Taylor would know better.

For now, there has been a stunning silence on the matter from the music industry. At one point or the other, every musician has gone through the pain of their art being owned legally by someone else. Let alone being owned by someone who once bullied them. Let us see where this matter leads up to.
