Disney Studios has had a good 2018 at the box office. Not only did they frontline various movies but those movies worked tremendously at the box office too! While the company has managed to surpass a milestone at the global box office, they plan to break the record of the most money a studio has made in a single year with their last release for this year.

As per a report on Deadline, Disney has officially surpassed $7 billion at the global box office this year. It is the second time a studio has been able to cross such a milestone. They plan to beat the $7.6 billion that they previously set last year with Emily Blunt's Mary Poppins, the last film from Disney this year. The report further added that while the studio raked in a good $2.94 billion from the domestic market, they earned a whopping $4 billion from overseas box office!

Disney was able to achieve this feat thanks to the release of Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Incredibles 2. Avengers: Infinity War managed to rake in about $2 billion at the global box office. Whereas Ryan Coogler's Black Panther performed well at the domestic and worldwide box office with $700 million and a total of $1.35 billion respectively. Pixar's Incredibles 2 also earned a good $1.241 billion while Marvel Studios' Ant-Man and the Wasp set the box office ringing with $622.6 million collections.

The possibility of earning far more is higher next year as they've got their calendar packed with releases such as Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Aladdin, Dumbo, Toy Story 4, The Lion King, Frozen 2 and Star Wars: Episode IX.
