Although it has been confirmed by sources that Robert Pattinson will be playing Batman, the actor himself hasn't said a word about it! Well, considering how Ben Affleck walked out of playing the Caped Crusader, DC Comics is still trying to figure out how to approach the new Batman series that would do justice to the other films released under the banner.
Superstar artist Jim Lee seems to have an idea about how to approach the Batman series with Robert Pattinson as the new face of Batman! With all the chatter surrounding the film and Pattinson's involvement in the project, Lee, DC Comics' executive, might have further fueled the fire by teasing fans. On his long duration trip to Abu Dhabi, Lee took to Instagram to share a picture of what's cooking with him while he endures a long flight. One such essential in his picture did catch everyone's attention. The mention of Robert Pattinson's name in his iPad. Of course, this doesn't confirm anything but it does lave more room for speculations and anticipations.

In an interview with Hollywood Reporter, Matt Reeves did mention that the Batman tale that he plans to bring forth is going to be very different from the other films. "It's very much a point of view-driven, noir Batman tale," Reeves explained. "It's told very squarely on his shoulders, and I hope it's going to be a story that will be thrilling but also emotional. It's more Batman in his detective mode than we've seen in the films. The comics have a history of that. He's supposed to be the world's greatest detective, and that's not necessarily been a part of what the movies have been. I'd love this to be one where when we go on that journey of tracking down the criminals and trying to solve a crime, it's going to allow his character to have an arc so that he can go through a transformation." The film is scheduled to have a June, 2021 release.
