Chris Hemsworth seems to have helped his Avengers co-star Tom Holland snag the role of Spider-Man! Well, here's something not many people know about Chris and Tom. The two guys have a history as co-stars before Marvel happened to them!
Tom Holland and Chris Hemsworth worked together on In the Heart of the Sea. So while speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of Men in Black: International, Hemsworth said, “I mean, look, we worked on In the Heart of the Sea together, obviously, then through Avengers and as they were casting him for Spider-Man, I did what I could do and made a call.” Did Tom Holland Just Blurt Out A Major Spider-Man: Far From Home Spoiler?
He further continued, “[I] said he’s one of the most talented people I’ve worked with and has such a big heart and appreciation. I don’t know, we have a great friendship, it’s a good mutual respect.” Well, that is mighty sweet of the God of Thunder as now Holland has quite a lot of films in his kitty. While opening up about how he bagged the role of Spider-Man, Holland told IGN, “It was like four days or something like that. Tom Holland's Spider-Man: Far From Home is set to hit the theatres on July 2 while Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson's Men in Black: International releases on June 14.
