R&B singer Chris Brown was detained in Paris after allegations of aggravated rape and drug offences were directed towards him. A judicial source, however, confirmed to CBS News that the singer was released after being detained in Paris.
Chris took to Instagram to deny the whole incident as he posted, "I WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR...... THIS IS FALSE AND A WHOLE LOT OF CAP! NNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEERRRRRR!!!!!! FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY FAMILY THIS IS SO DISRESPECTFUL AND IS AGAINST MY CHARACTER AND MORALS!!!!!" He clearly wasn't too thrilled with the accusations.
The arrest of Brown was first reported by Closer magazine. They stated that a 24-year-old woman claimed that she was raped by Brown at his hotel suite on January 15. The R&B singer was actually in Paris in the same week as he was attending events surrounding the Paris Fashion Week. The woman also filed a complaint and stated that she met Brown and his friends at the Le Crystal nightclub and headed with him back to his room at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, reported The Associated Press.
Brown's bodyguards were also detained among the others. This is not the first time Brown has been on the other side of the limelight. In the past too, he has been accused of assault, violence and being under the possession of deadly weapons. In fact, even last year, the singer was arrested after a concert in Florida. On the charges of an outstanding warrant for felony battery, Brown was arrested and released by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office on $2000 bond.
