Charlie Cox has become quite popular over the last few days in the realm of Marvel. With Kevin Feige confirming that going forward Cox will be the one playing Daredevil in the Marvel Cinematic Universe sure sent the fandom beaming with happiness, and for good reason! Daredevil was one of those shows on Netflix that hit all the right notes with character. There wasn’t a single misstep regarding the characterisation of Daredevil and that’s one thing many fans agree on. While the character himself became famous, Charlie Cox’s performance as the man without fear was deemed as the definitive version of the character, in the same vein of how Robert Downey Jr is considered as Iron Man. The dedication and heart this man put into bringing the character to life is felt in every scene. So to celebrate Charlie Cox’s 39th birthday, we are taking a look at five of his best action scenes in Daredevil.

Daredevil vs Bullseye in Church (Season 3)

Season 3 of Daredevil was filled with great action set pieces, and the fight in a church between Poindexter and Daredevil was great. Being lit with red lighting all around, this was a visually impressive fight that captured all the excitement of these characters. Not to mention that the back and forth between both of them was great.

Stairwell Fight (Season 2)

After an angry biker group tries to go after Daredevil and Frank Castle, Matt knocks out the Punisher and faces them himself. In series tradition the fight takes place in one take. It’s a great sequence that goes from a hallway to a stairwell as the fight continues there. Watching Daredevil beat up a biker group was just great.

Prison Escape (Season 3)

After Matt enters a prison to gather more information on Wilson Fisk, he is ambushed as the Kingpin sets him up. In a sequence that’s 10 minutes long and has no cuts in it, this is one of the most visually compelling fights of the series. Hallway Fight (Season 1)

The fight that put Daredevil on the scene and established it as a legit action show to be on the lookout for. Trying to save a kid from a Russian gang, Daredevil enters their hideout and takes them on headfirst. At the time of its release it felt extremely surreal watching it. It was one of the most creative fight scenes that we have gotten yet in any comic book property and it was just great fun watching it.

Daredevil vs Bullseye vs Wilson Fisk

Everything in the show had been leading to this point and oh boy did it deliver. In this threeway fight, we see all three of our heavy hitters take on each other. Bullseye gets his back injured midway through the fight by Fisk, which leaves Kingpin and Daredevil standing. What follows is Charlie Cox’s best acting as the character yet as he finishes off the scene in his most iconic “I BEAT YOU” line.

Really happy to hear that Charlie Cox will be returning to portray the character since he deserves it a lot. Here is hoping our first glimpse at him is in this week’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. With this we finish off the list and wish Charlie Cox a very happy birthday.
