Marvel’s newest, female-led superhero movie, Captain Marvel has just broken all official records. As per reports, it had the highest-grossing weekend for a female-fronted film ever. The movie starring Brie Larson as the titular character, has earned $455 million worldwide in its International Women’s Day opening weekend. The movie had some mean dogfight sequences starring Brie Larson as Carol Danvers. Those who have not seen the movie yet, well, spoiler alert. Larson did prepare for the role quite diligently and did train to fly. She spent quality time at Nellis Air Force Base in Southern Nevada, United States, which included a “messy ride” in an F-16. Oscar award-winning actress, Larson knew if she was going to play the most powerful superhero in the Marvel universe, she had some rigorous work to do. Starting from spending hours in the gym and about nine months of intense workout, Larson prepared herself to represent Captain Marvel. Not just that, in the past life, Captain Marvel was an Airforce Pilot named Carol Danvers, which required some training for Larson. She spent long days in Nellis Air Force Base in Southern Nevada with actual pilots, and she even took a fantastic ride in an F-16. In an interview with NBC Sunday Today, Larson shared her experience in the cockpit with a pilot in front.
