Marvel has dropped the first trailer for their first movie of 2025, Captain America: Brave New World. This marks the first big-screen appearance of Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson as Captain America after transitioning into his new role in the Disney+ series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. The role of Thaddeus Ross has been recast after the demise of William Hurt, with the legendary Harrison Ford stepping in. The trailer even features a snide joke about Ross' 'new look'. This time, Ross has been promoted to President of the USA. ‘Captain America–Brave New World’ Trailer: Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson Embarks on New Adventure As Cap in the Next MCU Chapter.

Going by the trailer for Captain America: Brave New World, it seems that President Ross wants Sam Wilson to be part of his security detail, and Sam is not very keen on it. Later, Isaiah Bradley's mysterious attack on the President is hinted at, creating more cold trouble between Ross and Wilson. Let's not forget that in Captain America: Civil War, Ross had Wilson imprisoned in the Raft before Steve Rogers broke them out. There is also Giancarlo Esposito, playing a mysterious assassin.

ICYMI, Here's The Trailer of 'Captain America: Brave New World':

While the trailer didn't explore the storyline much, we get some crucial hints about who and what to expect. Some of the plot teases that the trailer seemingly confirmed had already been circulating months before, thanks to interesting fan theories and potential plot leaks. Here are a few key points:

Red Hulk

The final scene of the trailer confirms the MCU debut of the supervillain Red Hulk. In the comics, Ross becomes Red Hulk, and the movie seems to follow the same path—unless there's another surprise waiting for us in the movie.

Tiamut

Tiamut in Eternals

Remember Tiamut, whose birth was halted by the Eternals in the 2021 movie? The dead Celestial is never mentioned again in the MCU after that, though that's going to change with Captain America: Brave New World, which some fan theories had already predicted. A part of Tiamut is glimpsed in the trailer, though you have to pause carefully to see him again, or rather, his dead form.

Joaquin Torres Turns Falcon

A Still From Captain America: Brave New World Trailer

Joaquin Torres, played by Danny Ramirez, made his debut in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. In the comics, he takes on the mantle of The Falcon after Sam becomes Cap. While that didn't happen in the Disney+ series, fans predicted he would become Falcon when CA: BNW arrived. This is confirmed in the trailer when, in a blink-and-miss appearance, Falcon is seen flying alongside Sam. ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ Advance Booking Now Open in India; Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s Marvel Film Tickets Available From July 12.

The Leader Returns

Remember Samuel Sterns? After the late William Hurt and Tim Roth (in Ms Marvel), Tim Blake Nelson is the third actor from the 2008 film The Incredible Hulk to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sterns plays Leader, a supervillain in the comics who is a biologist who once tried to help Bruce Banner control his mutation. Failing at that, he gets contaminated in the process. Though the movie's Wiki page confirms the actor's return in CA: BNW, Nelson makes his presence felt in the trailer through his voice and possibly through a back profile. Another actor from The Incredible Hulk who makes a return in the movie is Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, though she is not shown in the trailer.

Sabra is Not Mossad

A Still From Captain America: Brave New World Trailer

Portrayed by Israeli actor Shira Haas, Ruth Bat-Seraph is known by her alter-ego, Sabra. Sabra is an Israeli superheroine who used to work for Mossad. Due to the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict, there were reports that Sabra had been cut from Captain America: Brave New World, but the trailer confirms she is very much part of the movie. However, she is not a Mossad agent but rather an official working for the USA.
