Quentin Tarantino's latest release, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie in lead roles is currently the talk of the town. The film has received amazing responses from the critics, whereas the audiences are calling it one of Tarantino's finest works. Set in 1960s Hollywood, the film consists of a mix of fictional as well as real-life characters. While the premise of the film revolves around the murder of Hollywood actress Sharon Tate, we also see characters representing actors such as Bruce Lee in the film. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Review: Quentin Tarantino’s Leonardo DiCaprio-Brad Pitt Starrer Opens to Good Response From Critics in the USA.

Bruce Lee's character has been played by Mike Moh. In the film we see Brad Pitt's character, Cliff Booth, playing the role of a stunt double to DiCaprio's Rick Dalton. A scene from the film shows Booth and Lee's characters getting into a fight and we see Lee getting slammed into a car due to his arrogance after knocking down Booth in the first round.

Bruce Lee's daughter who recently watched the film has expressed disappointment over the portrayal of her father in the film. She said she's saddened by his character's arrogant blowhard attitude in the film when in reality, as an Asian-American, he had to work extra hard in the 1960s.

Speaking to The Wrap, Shannon Lee said, “I understand they want to make the Brad Pitt character this super bad-ass who could beat up Bruce Lee. But they didn’t need to treat him in the way that white Hollywood did when he was alive."  Quentin Tarantino Birthday Special: From Reservoir Dogs to The Hateful Eight, Our Pick of One Terrific Scene From Every Movie Made by QT! “He comes across as an arrogant asshole who was full of hot air," she further added. Despite being unhappy with Lee's portrayal, his daughter did appreciate Mike Moh's performance. Moh is known to be a huge fan of Lee, speaking about him, she said she he did a good job with some of her father’s mannerisms, and his voice. Tarantino and his team are yet to respond to Shannon Lee about her claims.
