Academy Award winner Brie Larson (Room) makes her debut in MCU as Carol Davers, a US pilot who acquires Kree powers and becomes one of the most powerful beings in the universe. This is Carol's first appearance in the MCU, though her arrival was hinted at the end of Avengers: Infinity War in the final post-credit scene. Captain Marvel has got a very good reception in the early screenings, so expectations are high from this Marvel movie. So if, like us, you are eager to book your tickets in advance, there is some happy news for all Marvel Indian fans. Though advance bookings for any movie in India usually begin two days before the release, for Captain Marvel, it will begin from March 3, that is Sunday. This tactic is mostly used by any big Bollywood or South movie, but Marvel movies have turned out to be big players at the box office in the past few years.
Why, last year itself, Avengers: Infinity War became the first Hollywood movie to gross more than Rs 200 crore at the box office in India. Since Captain Marvel is MCU's first solo female superhero movie and comes right before Avengers: EndGame, there is a lot riding on this one.
