LEAKED! Brie Larson SPOTTED Shooting for Captain Marvel, But It's Samuel L Jackson's Two-Eyed Nick Fury That Caught Our Fancy - View Pics
Captain Marvel is scheduled to release on March 8, 2019.
If you have seen Avengers: Infinity War and wondered what the post-credit scene was all about, then you might not be aware of the existence of Captain Marvel. The last scene has (SPOILER ALERT) Samuel L Jackson's Nick Fury sending a distress message on a pager to someone, before he gets disintegrated by Thanos' snap. As the camera focuses on the pager, the display screen changes to a symbol of red and blue which happen to be that of Captain Marvel, who is getting her own solo movie next year.
Captain Marvel is a moniker used by quite a few superheroes, with Carol Danvers being the most popular one. Academy Award winner Brie Larson (Room) will be playing the role in the upcoming superhero movie, that will tell her origin story. The movie will also feature the protective organisation SHIELD, as well as alien races Skree and Skrull. Samuel L Jackson also returns to reprise his character of SHIELD Chief Nick Fury, who is the reason why the Avengers were even a team in the first place.
Recently Brie Larson and Samuel L Jackson were spotted shooting for the movie. While Larson was in her green and black costume, it's Jackson's look that surprised us. Sporting hair and with both eyes, Jackson as Fury was also seen wearing a business suit, so untypical of Fury!
But then it is not much of a surprise as the movie is reportedly set in the '90s and therefore Fury has both his eyes intact (we will finally know how he lost one of his eyes). Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson will also return to the MCU, after being killed by Loki in 2012's The Avengers (though his character was revived in the TV series, Agents of SHIELD). Both Jackson and Gregg will be de-aged by a couple of decades using the same technique to make Michael Douglas and Robert Downey Jr younger in Ant-Man and Captain America: Civil War respectively.
Captain Marvel also stars Jude Law, Ben Mendelsohn, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, and McKenna Grace. The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Lee Pace as Ronan The Accuser and Djimon et Hounsou as Korath, both villains of the first Guardians of Galaxy, will also return.
The principal photography for Captain Marvel has begun in Los Angeles, California, while the movie will also be shot on location in Fresno, California, as well as locations in Louisiana, including Baton Rouge and New Orleans. The movie would be directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, who previously made Mississippi Grind and Half Nelson. Captain Marvel is scheduled to release on March 8, 2019.
