With less than two weeks left for the Academy Awards 2019, the excitement is not as much as it should be. Considering the amount of controversy surrounding the new changes and alterations that the committee has made with respect to sidelining the technical categories, actors are flipping out. It was recently revealed that cinematography and other such categories will be given the trophies during ad breaks. Let us tell you that this is not the only controversy that has left the Academy Awards 2019 in a bad shade.

The filmmakers, actors, actresses and celebrities who put their heart and raked in love and appreciation from millions of fans for their work, didn't receive the credit due by the Academy Awards this year. Starting from the royal snub towards Bradley Cooper for A Star is Born to Damien Chazelle for First Man, these celebrities surely rubbed off the wrong shoulder and earned no substantial nominations.

Damien Chazelle, Ryan Gosling and Claire Foy for First Man

Damien Chazelle has had a good Oscar run with him winning Best Director trophy for La La Land. Even at various other awards this season, Chazelle did receive a nomination along with the cast, Claire Foy and Ryan Gosling. The Oscars, however, don't agree with other award committees! While First Man did receive four noms in the technical categories, the filmmaker and the actors didn't get the due credit.

Bradley Cooper for A Star is Born

Bradley Cooper's royal snub at the Academy Awards' nominations list puts him along with the other actor-turned-director's list who were lauded for their films but weren't given the nomination that they deserved. Cooper's directorial debut, A Star is Born received much love and admiration from critics and award committees. However, Cooper was denied a Best Actor nomination for A Star is Born.

Barry Jenkins for If Beale Street Could Talk

If Beale Street Could Talk received far too many nods and acclaims this awards season. Everything but an Academy nod for Best Director that Barry Jenkins deserved. The film didn't even receive Best Picture nod which it should have considering how it was one of the top runners.

Timothee Chalamet for Beautiful Boy

After rendering a fabulous performance and raking in an Academy Award nod for Call Be By Your Name last year, it was speculated that Chalamet will receive another nom for Beautiful Boy where he plays a teenage drug addict. But looks like he was denied a nomination too by the Academy Awards this year.

Ryan Coogler, Chadwick Boseman and Michael B Jordan for Black Panther

Black Panther might have created history by becoming the first superhero film to ever receive a 'Best Picture' nod by the Oscar committee. But what about Ryan Coogler's direction? And Michael B Jordan and Chadwick Boseman's acting chops? None of them got any nomination or credit for their work.

Emily Blunt for Mary Poppins Returns and A Quiet Place

Emily Blunt has had a practically perfect run by being nominated at all the awards this season, except the Oscar's. Not just for playing Mary Poppins in the sequel but also for her phenomenal performance as a supporting lead in A Quiet Place, a film directed by her husband John Krasinski. Just so you know, Blunt has never received a nomination for the Oscar despite delivering flawless work.

Toni Collette for Hereditary

Collette should have been nominated for delivering one of the most critically acclaimed performances in Hereditary. But turns out the Oscar committee had other plans which involved them not to give it to her.

Eighth Grade

Bo Burnham's script and directorial in Eighth Grade credited ripples at the Sundance Film Festival. It rightly deserved the Best Original Screenplay nod but as it is evident, the film didn't receive it.
