It's Brad Pitt's birthday today and we have some elaborate plans of running a marathon of all his brilliant releases. While his charming looks often made the right headlines, his talent on-screen was quick enough to overshadow his charm and help him emerge as Hollywood's one of the finest stars. He's a perfect combination (besides Tom Cruise) of good looks and talent - a quality that's hard to find in the newest bunch of actors these days. With some extraordinary choices in his filmography and commendable performances, Pitt has managed to match the talents of his contemporaries while matching shoulders with his seniors and juniors alike. When Brad Pitt Confronted Harvey Weinstein For Ex Gwyneth Paltrow.

As we gear up to honour this handsome man and cherish his work right from the time he forayed into acting, we pick and name five of his career-best roles of all time. From Seven to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Moneyball of course, Brad has come a long way and here's raising a toast to his accomplishments. Seven

Brad Pitt and David Fincher's collaborations have often yielded some amazing results but that one release that stands apart from the rest is Seven. Pitt plays a detective who's working with Morgan Freeman to hunt down a serial killer. It's really difficult to own up a scene that you share with Freeman but Brad managed and how! Look out for him in the climax where he steals the show and you're left asking for more.

Inglourious Basterds

Brad Pitt and Quentin Tarantino weaved magic with Inglourious Basterds where the director took us back in time when Hitler's dictatorship was the talk of the world. Pitt as a Nazi killer was brutally charming and he did a fine job with his character of Lt. Aldo Raine. There were too many emotions flying through his character throughout the film and Pitt perfectly blended 'em all.

Fight Club

Fight Club was SO GOOD! Imagine Edward Norton and Brad Pitt sharing a frame! Another brilliant collaboration from David Fincher and Pitt that hit the ball out of the park. While Norton struggled with his own self. Brad provided him with comfort - but not in the usual way. As a freewheeling anarchist who teaches Norton how to fight and not give a f**k, Pitt was ingenious and so wild.

Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood

Brad Pitt as an ageing stunt artist in this Quentin Tarantino's directorial was as sharp and as brilliant as Leonardo Di Caprio. There are scenes where he probably shone brighter than the Titanic actor and those are proof of being a matured actor. Someone who has enjoyed the process has even reached the desired level yet continues to better himself every day.

Moneyball

A dream for baseball lovers, Moneyball revolves around Brad's Billy Beane's fight to overthrow the old-school selection methods. He develops a new system and reinvents his team to tackle the odds and prove his point that - old is not always the gold.

A thing to notice in Brad's filmography is not the different genres he has worked in but the way he has mounted his career on them. Unlike Tom Cruise who basically rose to fame for his never-ending love for action movies or Leonardo, for his attempt to be unique and penchant for unusual cinema, Pitt struggled with his hits and misses. He kept experimenting but never restricted to any one territory. His strong element is that he has no strong element. Lastly, Happy Birthday, Brad Pitt! May you keep boggling our minds with your talent - always and forever.
