Take a seat. Then take a deep breath, please. Because this story is going to require your full attention for you to actually understand it. In the next James Bond movie, currently being called, Bond 25, Daniel Craig won't be playing Agent 007, the one with a license to kill. There will be a new agent 007, played by a black woman. Lashana Lynch has been roped in to play the role, as per reports. Now, we need to be clear about the fact that Lashana won't be playing the titular role of 'James Bond'. The man is still being portrayed by Daniel Craig. Only, his official designation of Agent 007 will be re-assigned to a woman in the new film. Grace Jones Quits Role Opposite Daniel Craig in 'Bond 25'.

The Mail was the first to report about the new development. While describing the revelation scene, a source told the daily, “There is a pivotal scene at the start of the film where M says, “Come in 007”, and in walks Lashana who is black, beautiful and a woman,”

“It’s a popcorn-dropping moment. Bond is still Bond but he’s been replaced as 007," the report further added.  But fans love James Bond just as much as they love the number 007. And many are having a hard time accepting the fact that from now on, a woman will be Agent 007. And some are absolutely mistaken that James Bond will be a woman in the next film. So, obviously, Twitter is flooded with angry tweets. Bond 25: Daniel Craig’s First Look as James Bond From the Movie OUT; BTS Video Reveals Exciting Footage From the Shoot.

Umm...that is not the same?

It is NOT female James Bond. It's a female agent 007

Hence the name?

The news did find its supporters, though

LOL

Calm Down

So, repeating the point again. Daniel Craig is still James Bond.  Lashana Lynch might only be playing the new Agent 007. And you know what? There has been no official confirmation about the same. There still stands a chance that this is another wild rumour that Hollywood PR machinery has churned out.
