Warner Bros had full-fledged plans to release the first teaser of the anti-superhero film, Birds of Prey, attached to the prints of the horror film, It Chapter 2. Also, they planned to not release the Birds of Prey footage online (there is a good reason for that). But one of their plans was thwarted today. While the teaser will still show up when you go out to watch It Chapter 2, you can also watch it at home. The Birds of Prey trailer found its way online and in pretty decent, non-theatrical print, quality. The teaser trailer is creatively meta, tying it with It Chapter 2.
We see Warner Bros logo, as in the style it was seen in the trailer of It Chapter 2. You know that pinhole light falling on the logo? We also get to see the iconic red balloons from the horror movie, covering the screen, as the ominous score from It plays in the background. One might think that this is the opening of It Chapter 2, but nah... as right then Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn enters the frame with her circus hammer. Harley smashes the balloons and says, "I am so done with clowns." She is obviously hinting at Joker from the DCEU. But you get the joke right? If that is the tone of the movie, we are sure tickets are going to sell easy. The meta-footage is followed by blink and miss flashes from Birds of Prey.

In the title plate, the full name of the movie is displayed: 'Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)'. Yes, that is the full title of the film. But it is safe to assume that everyone is only going to refer to it as Birds of Prey. Simple. Also, it makes sense that WB won't officially release the trailer online. It makes an extra impact if played right before It Chapter 2.
