Beyonce and Jay Z got super creative with their new rendition of APE***T. The couple, who were honoured at the Brit Awards 2019 as they took home the trophy for Best International Group. The couple couldn't attend the event and accept the award. So they shared a pretty cool video instead as they accepted their award. And interestingly, the video starred none other than the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle!
In the acceptance speech video, Beyonce and Jay Z recreated the music video of APE***T. While in the original song video, they pose in front of Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa portrait. However, in the Brit Awards video, they replaced the Mona Lisa portrait with that of Meghan Markle donning a gorgeous sparkling crown with pearl necklaces. They then added, “Thank you so much to the Brit awards for this incredible honour,” Beyoncé said to the camera. “You guys have always been so supportive. Everything is love. Thank you.” To this, the rapped also added, "You're welcome" and they both then shifted their gaze to the portrait.

I won this award back in 2002 with my besties, Kelly and Michelle,” she wrote. “How lucky am I to have been in a group with my other best friend, the GOAT Hova. 🙌🏾 “In honour of Black History Month, we bow down to one of our Melanated Monas,” she wrote. “Congrats on your pregnancy! We wish you so much joy.” The art of Meghan was illustrated by Tim O'Brien which previously appeared on the cover of alumnae magazine for Meghan's sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma.
