Doctor Strange, also the alter ego of Iron Man (at least from what we've seen in the past MCU films), is set to take home a whopping £7.5 million (Rs 66 crore) for the sequel! That's right. As per the latest report on Mirror, Benedict Cumberbatch's income from the Marvel movie has doubled thanks to the importance of his role and the effect of his fandom!

A movie source told Mirror, “Benedict has become a huge player in the Marvel universe. But the nature of the shoot for the sequel means we’re looking at 2020 for the next time we see the sleuth in a full series – if it happens at all.” With this, the actor will be getting a raise of $6.3 million in his salary from the Disney Studios if he reprises his character as Doctor Strange.

Reports stated that the actor earlier made a good $5 million from the first Doctor Strange film, Thor: Ragnarok and the last two Avengers movies. However, with this big hike in his salary, we wonder it sure will make him one of the most expensive Marvel heroes after Robert Downey Jr and Scarlett Johansson.

While the second post-credits of Doctor Strange did confirm that a sequel is definitely in the making, no such confirmations were reported on the same. Looks like Doctor Strange and Mordo (played by Chiwetel Ejiofor) is happening after all! The film is set to start filming next spring and will possibly take about six months to complete.

Television's favourite British detective Sherlock Holmes sure has become quite the expensive star! But should you expect him to return to the role that brought him on the maps? Well, "maybe". That's what the actor said when he was asked whether he will reprise his role as in the famous Sherlock series.
