For the longest time, there has been speculation surrounding the casting of Batman in DC's next which is being directed by Matt Reeves. Several names have been thrown around till now from Armie Hammer to Nicholas Hoult and Jake Gyllenhaal and finally, we have the answer. The actor who will next be portraying the role of Bruce Wayne aka Batman will be Twilight star, Robert Pattinson. Pre-production of the film is expected to start this summer which means we will soon be hearing the big casting announcement. The debate surrounding who will play the caped crusader in the upcoming DC-Warner Bros film has been going on since a while now. We had reported earlier that Reeves was hoping to cast a younger Batmant his time and hence fans went all out in giving their inputs as to who would fit the legendary role.
In January 2017, Mattb Reeves took over the movie's direction rights from Ben Affleck who soon announced that he will be exiting from the franchise. We hear, a final version of the script is still in works but Pattinson may be locked onto the project before that.
Robert Pattinson shot to fame for playing the character of a vampire, Edward Cullen in the popular fantasy films, Twilight. Prior to that, the actor was seen in the Harry Potter series where he played the character of Cedric Diggory. Pattinson currently seems to be on an all-time career high considering he is also on board for Christopher Nolan's untitled next starring, John David Washington, which is set to release on July 17, 2020.
